You will find me volunteering at "Gavin’s Gift of Grace" Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Avery Ranch Golf Course! This is one of the main fundraisers for this non-profit organization.
A dear friend of mine lost their sweet grandson, Gavin Gouldie, who passed away unexpectedly on May 17th, 2018. This tragic passing happened to her son; Adam and wife, Amy Gouldie and was devastating to the whole family. They miss their little man every single day and often think of what he would be doing at various stages of his growth if he were still with them.
They are a remarkable Christian family and have chosen to create a non-profit organization in honor of their son called "Gavin’s Gift of Grace." GGG provides care packages and other forms of support to families grieving the loss of a child. They feel strongly that every family has their own story and is need of different things to cope with the overwhelming sense of loss.
Their goal is to listen to each story and customize their support to fit the needs of families grieving the loss of a child. In 2023 they helped 75 families and are on track to help more families in 2024!
Recently, Dell Children’s Hospital reached out to her when they opened a hospice division. Amy, on behalf of GGG, delivered eighteen $400 gift certificates to help families who were facing the unimaginable loss of their child.
They are still selling raffle tickets; you can win a golf cart! Go this link to purchase: https://www.gavinsgiftofgrace.org/golf-cart-raffle/
