The pastor of our church is going on a much-needed sabbatical. Pastoral life can be arduous and quite tiring. He and his wife and 4 boys will be camping while they travel across the country. But, they are not taking the family dog named Pogo with them. We've heard many a story about the escapades of Pogo. It seems Pogo is not the best-behaved dog and drives the family nuts. What to do with Pogo? Luckily our church Administrative Assistant (AA) likes Pogo and is willing to care for him over the summer. The AA lives in an apartment complex in our town. She went to the management office to inform them Pogo would be living with her and her son for the summer.
This is where it gets interesting as I had not heard of such a thing.
The office said ok, BUT she would have to submit a stool sample from Pogo.
Huh?
The complex would have the sample analyzed and a record of the sample findings would be kept at the office.
Really?
It seems when the staff finds doggie poo on the grounds they take a sample of the poo, analyze it, and then compares it with the poo samples they have on file.
You have to be kidding me, right?
If they find a match the owner/caretaker of the offending dog is notified about the finding and is charged a $125 fine. What's next Doggie Huggies? Please don't tell me they already have these.
Maybe we could institute this in our neighborhood HoA...lol
Dog owners, be responsible, clean up after your dogs, and deposit the remnants in your own trash barrel.
