Good morning, Dorie. I remember that attempted assassination of Pope John Paul as if it was yesterday... and it's been more than 40 years ago.

Some memorable events for the week.

Many a plumber or rigger hailed Coke, as they used to drip some of it on rusty pipes and it would eat away the rust and allow the fittings to be removed.

Hi Dorie,
I don't remember the hail storm story out of PA, but I imagine there was a lot of damage from that!

I remember both the 1990's events vividly. The others not so much.

Hi Dorie:

This is quite a diversity of events, some of which I recall. Tennis-sized hail must have caused some significant damage! As always a fun and interesting read.

Dorie, some great fun facts to share, and having tennis ball hail would be really bad.

Wow, tennis ball sized hail would certainly cause quite a bit of damage, haha.  I hope that I never experience that.
