Older Americans Month in Gaithersburg

With an official proclamation, the Mayor and City Council designated May as “Older Americans Month.” The 2024 theme, "Powered by Connection,” recognizes the profound impact that meaningful relationships and social connections have on our health and well-being. The proclamation was presented to Raymond Hood, member of the Benjamin Gaither Center.

Good morning Roy. I likely qualify. as an Older American but prefer not to be celebrated for my age. Getting up on the right side of the grass is my appreciation of age! Enjoy your day.

Good morning, Roy... I certainly cannot top Wayne Martin's comment. At what age does your Mayor consider one to be "older?"

Hello, Roy. I am sure I would qualify for this recognition too, but like Wayne and Nina above, I am just thankful just to get up every morning. Praise God!
