Today was a busy day and I love that. My listing contract was emailed back we can talk about that later. My past clients want me to take a ride up to the new development they purchased and are not happy with. They are thinking of selling and to be honest, I think they should keep it. I am going up with them to see the problem and we will see if we can overcome their objections. 

I am waiting to hear back from the listing I went on last week, who thought the commission was now cheap because he heard it on the news. He was so disappointed when I explained to him that what the news reporter told him was not true. I did explain it was negotiable but nothing had changed. I will be calling him this week as his plan is to list on Memorial Day Weekend. When he called, I thought he was referred to me, but it turned out he had called every Realtor in the direct area. He may be shopping for a discount broker, so if he decides to go elsewhere, I will not be upset. I explained I am a full-service broker.

When you list with me, I am here for you personally. I answer my phone when you call. If you get my voicemail mail, you will hear back from me shortly. You deal with me directly and never an assistant. You are important and I will always be available to you. I have a team of professionals I work with that will assist us in getting the job done. I do everything to make sure whatever problem arises gets solved.

Good morning, Hannah... if there's one thing we need to do going forward is not cheapen our value by discounting our commissions. You get what you pay for. Sadly, too many sellers learns that lesson only after they've had a poor result because they shopped on commission and not service.

Isn't it amazing how the media has skewed what has happened. There are always those that feel it's all about commission. I met with two different sellers and they both called every agent in town and took the one with the cheapest commission. You get what you pay for so good luck!

Ed Silva, 203-206-0754 The funny part was that he called me at dinner time and said I was late when was I coming. We did not have an appointment until  12 PM the next day but I took a ride over. When I got there I realized he had me confused with someone else. I went back the next day for our appointment with guns blasting.

I'm fighting that right now too, Hannah! I have had to convince several sellers recently that the Missouri news is NOT what they will find here. We have ALWAYS provided buyer agency Contracts (with a fee amount included) and the listing agreement also shares how much the seller is willing to pay (percentage wise) and how much of that should go to the BA. Nothing's changed except the DOJ is insistent upon us not being transparent with the BA concession that the seller is offering. That opens the door to so much worse behavior from agents. I see a lot of dual agency in our future, thanks to our association and their poor choice of attorneys! 

Okay, off my soapbox now, Hannah! I absolutely love your value statement and agree with you 100%! You are so well respected in your area and those buyers and sellers who wish to have you serve them again and again will always call you back. For those searching for a cheap agent - well, that's not who you are and it's THEIR loss, not yours!
