Motivational Monday ~ A Single Gift from Mother Nature

Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Realty ~ 512.750.6899

This morning as I was driving out of the Canyon Creek Community I saw a deer running widely back and forth across Boulder Lane. Everyone who was walking their dogs stopped in amazement and all drivers slowed down to make sure they didn’t collide with this frighten creature.

As I left the community I was so glad that that everyone stopped to make sure this poor deer wasn’t hurt and we can only hope that wherever it lands it finds peace and solitude.

I love deer.   I think they are magnificent, I could never hunt them.

Dorie we have deer get hit by cars on the freeway around here regularly.  Those mild looking creatures can total a car, so it is to the advantage of drivers not to hit one.

Good afternoon Dorie. Must say I have turned down the opportunity to go deer hunting several times. Likely could not shoot one by bow or rifle. Now, they can return the favor and not eat the flowers. Enjoy your day.

Such a great-looking creature!  I don't see deer in my neck of the woods, but when I go up to Flagstaff I enjoy seeing them.

Deer are such elegant creatures, Dorie. Many, many years ago, I was driving home from work on Route 80 in New Jersey to NY City. The car in front of me had a dead dear on the back... obviously from hunting. With the traffic, I couldn't get away from that car. I think I cried all the way home.

Dorie Dillard Austin TX - out of all the wild animals on earth, I am most partial to deer.

Thank you for slowing down and making sure others did too. That was a beautiful moment you captured. I hope the deer made it to safety. They usually run from people, unless it's in a wildlife park or sanctuary. I can't help wondering why it was down on the ground. I hope it wasn't hurt or about to deliver.

Hi Dorie:

Thank goodness walkers and drivers were being watchful and kind. Hopefully the deer made it to a safe place.

Being respectful of the local animals is a good habit.  Out here some folks have to watch out for deer, elk and antelope.  In Mohave County high desert, we have open range cattle and wild burros.
