Book Review: The Platinum Rule

A few years back, I read an amazing book titled "The Platinum Rule".   The author suggests that  the  "Golden Rule" is not always the best way to approach people. Rather, they propose the Platinum Rule: "Do unto others as "they'd" like done unto them". In other words, find out what makes people tick and go from there.  Simply put, this book has helped me to have happier clients.  

The book also discusses the 4 personality types (DISC) at length, while assigning them new names.  

I have read many self help / business books over the years, and I consider this one top be a "Top 10". 

Since learning this principal, I have found it easier to service my clients, and have certainly enjoyed more success.  I highly recommend this book.

Thank you for your book recommendation. I haven't' heard of this one and it's good to read different perspectives. We can always improve, we never know it all and can't learn something new. We just need to be open to fresh ideas!

This is a good point. It reminds me of the lessons of learning love languages. Not everyone responds to the same things. Different strokes for different folks.
