Wordless Wednesday…Al Fresco Dining

Bear with me while I share one more bad-weather photo.

Our power went out Thursday night. Dinner was easy because we had our grill and microwave but by Monday, Larry and I wanted our usual oatmeal for breakfast and not the instant kind.|

Al fresco dining thanks to our Coleman Fold n Go Propane Camping Stove. While we no longer go camping (thank goodness) we’ve always had a camping stove as part of our hurricane supplies.

Hey…a girl gets hungry for her oatmeal!!

Good morning Kathy. A girl needs her oat meal and some of us need our coffee. We had a coffee pot we could use on our side burner of the grill for emergencies. Fortunately never had to use it. Enjoy your day.

HI Wayne Martin oh yes...coffee is a must have. Our coffee machine will run on our generator but it's a big power hog. We have an old coffee pot and ground coffee, just in case.

Kathy, Being prepared for anything is essential, so using the camp stove for an emergency oatmeal breakfast was a fantastic idea!

Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400 I agree. We already had camping gear from our "younger" days. Having lived in hurricane areas for the majority of our lives, we always have "just-in-case- supplies.

Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 Waves Realty I went camping when we were younger to humor Larry. But with FL and TX hurricanes and the state of things, we want to be prepared.

That stove is so clean, it looks new. I love a gas grill for exactly this reason, power goes out you can still cook.

Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543 we had to buy a new one when we moved back to Texas. We had an old Coleman two-burner camping stove but couldn't find it after the move.  We prepared our whole dinner on the grill the second night!!! (Brats, sauerkraut, sweet potatoes!!)

Look for the positives. You lost power in a warm period, which is a lot better than losing it in a cold January.
