The Sweet Smell of Revenge
A couple was getting a divorce. The wife received an excellent settlement, and he got the house. They agreed on how to divide their belongings and went their separate ways. She spent the first day packing her things and had movers collect them on the second day. On the third and last day, she sat in the empty house on the floor and enjoyed her last meal, which consisted of steamed shrimp, caviar, and champagne.
She carefully cleaned the house and left, but not before stuffing the leftover caviar and shrimp shells into the existing curtain rods of each room.
The following day, the ex-husband and his new girlfriend happily moved into the house.
However, a foul odor began within a day and progressively got worse. They tried everything, including having it professionally cleaned, painted, and ripping out the existing carpets, but nothing worked. They could no longer tolerate the stench and decided to list it for sale. However, they were unsuccessful in finding a buyer for their foul-smelling house,
When the wife called the ex-husband, saying she missed the home and offered to buy it back at a much lower price, the ex-husband quickly agreed and finalized the sale. The following week, he and his girlfriend happily watched as all their belongings were loaded onto the moving truck.
They took everything, including the "loaded" curtain rods!
