Those Pesky Life Annoyances

By
Real Estate Technology with http://www.medicalandspaconsulting.com

Tonight I was talking to a college buddy....and he uttered on of my favorite things in such conversations, "Did I ever tell you the story about bla bla bla......"? You answer, "Yes, many times"   AND THEY PROCEED TO TELL YOU THE STORY AGAIN ANYWAY!!!!!!!!!!! LOL LOL!!

So, while I am on the topic of life's annoyances. Whatever happened to THANK YOU"?  People now say, " I appreciate you". No you don't and isn't that a bit disingenuous? They don't even know me! Kind words are always appreciated (that word again) but not when they have no meaning.

Another favorite is "I got you". Why is it that when someone says that to me I instantly feel that they don't have my back or care?

"Thank you still works"!!

There are definitely people who will repeat themselves even when you've already told them you've heard the story before!

And as for "thank you," I agree. It's simple yet effective in getting our point across.

Hi Paddy- don't get me started!!!  Saying "thank you" and waving a thank you to someone who has let your car in line are the least we can do. BTW- I have a family member who when we're on a call proceeds to talk for another 45 minutes when you tell them you have to go.

HI Paddy... I was thinking that the other day... why did that expression "I appreciate you" suddenly "take over." There are times it's appropriate, but not as a replacement for "thank you."

Whenever I’m negotiating anything, I always say Thank you at the end . It lessens the tension ……….

My parents taught us always to say please and thank you.  It is ingrained in me!  The effect of manners AND a smile can be amazing!

Yes thank you still works and for those who are authentic these folks truly mean it. A short but good reminder. Thank you.

Paddy, yeah. I'm showered with appreciation and wish it was just all in my house.
