Today I was talking to a chap that works for me. I was updating him on some pending grants for clients. We talked about 30 minutes on this.
About three hours later, I receive a Face Book Messenger message from my uncle. This was odd because he emails or sends texts. So I checked the profile and it was him. 100%.
So I replied that I was happy to hear from him and all is well.
Then comes the messages that he successfully applied for a Coca Cola grant and he received $200,000. I knew this wasn't true but I sent him two SMS messages and he conformed what I already knew.
This was undoubtedly a scam to get me to apply for a grant and oops, there is an application fee. The grant doesn't exist and you lose your money.
Two CEOs of companies that I consult to got scammed like this. People get duped because the "offer" seems credible and it comes from a contact.
This is AI at work for nefarious purposes and it needs to be said that anything you say on your phone is heard by Big Tech. Doesn't matter what system, which format/platform, even whether the phone is switched off....we are being spied upon.
