Carlsbad Art Wall April 2024
The 3rd Carlsbad Art Wall mural for 2024 was completed the last weekend in April. I apologize for being so late sharing this.
Carlsbad artist and graphic designer Molly Alexander transformed the wall with these beautiful and vibrant orange blossoms, an influence from having grown up in Southern California. You’ll find her on Instagram at @MollyAlex_art. You can learn more on her website, MollyAlex.com.
This is the 41st mural since the founding of the Carlsbad Art Wall in 2015.
The Carlsbad Art Wall was created, and is curated, by Carlsbad artist, Bryan Snyder, in cooperation with the owner of Senor Grubby’s Mexican Restaurant in Carlsbad Village
The Carlsbad Art Wall provides residents and visitors the opportunity to appreciate temporary public art by local, regional, and occasionally international, artists.
Bryan Snyder is the founder of the Carlsbad Alley Art Wall, along with other art projects in Carlsbad as well. He’s also an art teacher at the Valley Middle School in the Visual and Performing Arts program.
You may not have heard the formal name for the wall, however you’ve probably noticed the murals at Senor Grubby’s Mexican Restaurant’s east-facing wall if you live here or have visited Carlsbad Village.
You’ll find the Carlsbad Art Wall just west of the train tracks, opposite the Carlsbad Village Faire Shopping Center, as you head to the beach. It’s easy to spot at 377 Carlsbad Village Drive!
Carlsbad’s reputation as an arts community continues to expand. There is abundant public art (interactive map on the City of Carlsbad website) around town. You’ll also find a number of art galleries, a performance theater, several annual arts and crafts fairs, and live music events during the year. The Carlsbad Art Wall is certainly a special part of our vibrant arts community!
