Provo City Public Works is responsible for managing the garbage, recycling, and yard waste collection. Here’s what you need to know about the collection schedule:

Regular Collection Schedule

Garbage, recycling, and yard waste collections in Provo occur from Monday through Thursday. To avoid confusion about when your waste will be picked up, refer to the Sanitation Schedule Map provided by the city. This map details which areas are serviced on specific days.

Holiday Schedule Adjustments

During major holiday weeks, your regular garbage collection may be delayed by one day. It’s important to check Provo’s Holiday Schedule, which lists all the major holidays affecting garbage pickup in 2024. This way, you can plan ahead and make sure your bins are out on the right day.

In 2024, the Green Yard Waste season runs from March 4th to December 5th. Green cans are emptied on the same day as your regular garbage pickup during this period.

Hi Katerina... I've done similar posts on Charlotte in the past. But as I cover two states, half a dozen counties and several dozen towns, it's too much to report on all of them.
