Sandpoint Realty 'Friday Flag' - June 7, 2024

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Sandpoint Realty LLC DB36113

Sandpoint Realty 'Friday Flag' sends a very powerful message...especially so soon after Memorial Day.

Sandpoint Realty Friday Flag Memorial

As you all know, I am not much on sharing bumper stickers.  This one though I could not help but take note of, while waiting in line at Creekside Coffee Bar.

The message clear.

Good morning Mark. We are in the process of relocating to a small town where we can visit The Grind, a local coffee shop locals rave about. As one who has witnessed someone being handed a folded flag I have nothing but respect for it. Enjoy your day.

Good morning Wayne.  Something about being a regular at the local coffee shop.  Makes for a nice stop.  m

I have a question about the flag that you will likely know better than me.  I see people flying their flag on their pickup truck and while I get that they are trying to show their patriotism, it seems to destroy the flag, and isn't it highly disrespectful to destroy a flag?

There are many ways considered disrespectful to our flag.  Not taking it down at sundown, or not having a light shining on it in the dark, out during inclement weather, and yes still flying a weathered and torn flag.  The ones in back of trucks don't take long to get ripped up and always surprises me how long after ripped the truck owner will continue leaving it fly.  All good things can be taken a step or two too far.  It starts off with good intentions though.  m

I love our flag, and my daughter was just asking me about all the other bastardizations of it.  I love our flag.

Good Friday morning, Mark. Have a great day and an outstanding weekend.

We have a sunny day in Maryland and the flags are flying in our home community.

Hi Mark... all I can is 100%! I've never understood how anyone could disrespect their nation's flag.

Hello Ed.  Not too far back I would have agreed 100%.  Now I do try to understand that the flag itself represents the right of some to protest what it stands for.  Difficult line.  There are some here I have seen flying the flag upside down.  As with you I think...  'then take yourself to another country.'  Yet are not many of us, if not most, upset with how the government is handling things right now?  The obvious question then becomes what is someone actually doing to make government better, even at the local level if they are not happy with it.  George Souto I am not a politician, nor would I ever want to be.  Could not pay me enough for all they go thru so the best I have is knowing I am proud to be an American, even with all our faults showing so heavily at the present time.  Thank you as always for stopping by.  m

Hi Mark- as my wonderful neighbor used to say...if you don't like it, don't let the door hit you on the A___. I love what you showed us today. What other country gives you the freedom to open your mouth and let the world know what kind of person you are.
