Terry Williams with framed picture!
Terry Williams has been an artist in Searcy AR since around 1971 and has had frame shops in several places in town. Right now he operates at the Mayfair Hotel. He graduated from Harding College around that time. He once had a studio in this house.....now gone.
It was located on Center Street right behind the old Rendezvous restaurant. Before it was taken down he let me enter it and he still had loads of art and art supplies. I think you could call him an art collector!
A few days ago one of my favorite framed photo pictures in my kitchen came crashing to the floor making a loud noise. Inspection told me the glass was not broken, the frame was disabled but probably repairable so I tried to see if my artist friend could repair it! He could and he did! I had bought this antique frame online in 2002 and paid $95 for it (how much would that be today?). I removed the old pictures that were in it. Here is a picture of the old pictures.
I saved the old ones in a plastic envelope and replaced them with my family pictures. It is a favorite of mine and now it is back on the wall! Terry Williams is a great artist and a great friend of mine.
