Am I Forked?

My Entry for the

ActiveRain June Challenge. . .

Admittedly, I don't usually participate in sharing recipes. That said, I have been known to dish out lots of things over the years as part of the offerings on the AR buffet of posts. For a while, I served community spotlights along with the occasional side of a new listing or a sold property.  Later, I began to mix in a pinch of pondering as food for thought.

And speaking of things that make you wonder; I occasionally whip up a words of wisdom post from a familiar or new-to-me source as inspiration.  This quote seems to have a certain zest as I strain for an entry:

A man begins cutting his wisdom teeth

the first time he bites off more

than he can chew.

Attributed to Herb Caen

Quotes, like recipes, can be interpreted in many ways. Often the same or similar ones can be observed. Sure, the tongue-in-cheek quote shared may not be cookbook-worthy but let's face it, it's something we can masticate for more than a moment, right? And with that, I bet you're full. As well as finished.

The images in this post are from canstockphoto.com as well as from my album of pictures taken. After all, interconnectedness and interrelatedness have been used as ingredients for my posts. It makes sense (to me) that I blend them together with this submission. I am well aware that my creative ability behind the camera as well as in the kitchen are non-existent and may not meet the requirements of this challenge.

Cara Marcelle Mancuso - while cooking has never been my specialty, I understand a certain subtlety is involved in the process (or is it art?).  Your comment tells me that a little of that caught your attention in this post.  And I thank you for noticing that.

a pinch of wordsmithing...a dash of pondering...a healthy dose of creativity...and a cup of fun!!!

Thank you!

We have a sunny morning in Gaithersburg after a rainy night. 69 degrees at 11:39 a.m. as I post this comment. Chef Dolores picked up the groceries she ordered online, a service that she likes.

Raspberry pie... why am I thinking of fresh baked, hot out of the oven and cooling, waiting for ice cold vanilla ice cream scoops piled, riding on top? Drizzling down the sides of one big thick slice of goodness Michael Jacobs. Excellent memorable post.

Michael, yes keeping those tastes alive whether it is a wisdom tooth (and all should take some 'wisdom' from the name) or a crown for not keeping it going well...always well said.  Best to you on this hot day.

Ginny Gorman - the crowning achievement of your comment reminds me of Imperial margarine commercials from long ago.  And the recipe connection is difficult to let pass by.   Maybe even a triple word entendre with the dental implications.  Talk about bite.    👑🦷👑
