Sometimes it’s important to ask questions of yourself to learn more about what is important to you. In the same token it’s also important to ask questions of others to learn more about them and what makes them tick.

For the past five weeks I’ve asked some questions and loved the responses so let's try 3 new questions this week. Inquiring minds want to know your answers:

u What is your greatest regret?

u What is your favorite occupation?

u What is your most treasured possession?

Hello Dorie - when it comes to regrets, they are a part of my life, but I don't think I have ever thought to put together a greatest "hit" list.  Favorite occupation?  I am a bit unsure of this question - is it a dream career or one from the reality of life.  Like choosing possessions, both require some additional pondering.  And likely more than a few rabbit hole adventures along the path.

Hello Dorie, great regret would be not spending enough time with my parents when they were still here.  Occupation is a hard one, love the restaurant business but also love Real Estate.  The last one is my love for my grandkids.

Hi Michael Jacobs ,

Sometimes I think we pigeon hole ourselves into a career and secretly want something else. I was a buyer for a department store and was disappointed in what the job really entailed. I taught for a while when my ex-husband was in the Navy but again I knew it wasn't for me. I'm so glad I was forced into another career and it was real estate. It really is the perfect fit for me.

Hi Dorie- My greatest regret is not having children

My favorite occupation I had was staffing offices

My most treasured possession...though I don't own them, they would be my family and friends.

Hi Dorie,

What is your greatest regret?

I don't think much about regrets. We've all made bad decisions, but that's part of life and gaining wisdom to make better decisions in the future. I do regret not paying more attention to my own health while Max was ill. In retrospect, I think I could have done it without sacrificing his care.

What is your favorite occupation?
There was a time when I thought being an architect would be an interesting career. That said, I'm happy with my choices.

What is your most treasured possession?
My family pictures.

Good Afternoon Dorie Dillard Austin TX

I'll have to catch up on your earlier posts

My greatest regret is that I did not reenlist and take the offer to become a C-130 Flight Engineer

My favorite occupation - looking back on it the best job I had was as a C-130 Crew Chief

My most treasured possession is my identity with God.
