It's about time

By
Real Estate Agent with Atlanta Communities 303302

Time. Such an important part of Real Estate. When is the best time to list a home? How much time will it be on the market? In the contracts, time is of the essence. Time is really, really important.

For me, now is the time. After working from a company office for years, I decided last weekend it was time to move out and into my current temporary office as shown above. It is a nice spot in my basement with 3 big windows I can look out on my backyard. It is time.

Have I retired? Not quite yet but this is a giant step towards retirement. I just don't think I am quite ready to completely let go. It's just not the right time. I am already really missing my interactions with my officemates, but there comes a time...

When will I fully retire? Only time will tell. But for now, I am adjusting to my new normal.

Good morning Peter. After a career spanning two states and in Florida both coasts when I retired it was completely all at once. Should have done what you are doing and eased into it. Great decision. Enjoy your day.

I really like the look of your office setup, I am envious!  Having a nice view of your backyards sounds really nice too!

Hello Peter - transitions, entrances as well as exits and likely more than a few detours are definitely parts of life.  Good luck with your move.  Time tells but it doesn't always announce its arrival.  Or departure.

Good Morning Peter den Boer

This is a great-looking office. Sounds like you have a plan and claiming some time for yourself.

Your post on time reminds me of Ecclesiastes 3

A Time for Everything

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7  a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
