Above Soybean field photo was taken on 6-27-24 East of Kearney about 1/4 mile west of the Airport on 56th Street.
Hi All, Here we are only 3 blogs from the end of my personal challenge after I post this!
I hope you all are having a great Thursday evening. (or had a great one)
Just got home from a walk around the neighborhood and the wind blew us home the last half mile...although it slowed us down the first half mile of the walk.
To walk our route is about 2 miles on some paved "trail" and mostly through residential. You can see the trail at end of the culdesac in center of photo.
This photo taken on April 21, 2024...those fields in the distance now have green corn and soybeans growing up fast! (See above photo...that is the field that is brown in the neighborhood photo.) Yes...the buildings way in the background of the brown photo are at the airport.
Ground to the left in the photo is being developed this year. A half mile to the right the walking "trail" we even get within about 3 feet from a 4 lane road with traffic speed limit of 45 mph and actual speeds of about 55 mph. I hate walking that stretch.
In the far distance is the airport and ground around it is quickly being developed.
Switching gears,
Have had a lot of showings on my new condo listing but no offers yet.
This home has a honey-do list and most buyers in this complex are older folks who do not want to mess with fixing previous owner wear and tear.
Had a second showing by one agent to his folks and I am hoping they make an offer. This is a home that the owner passed away and the family is selling...and no one wants to put a bunch of money in repairs.
I told the agent to adjust his offer accordingly if needed...and that I present all offers! Hint hint.
Drove about 45 miles to meet with an investor from the Omaha area for lunch. He is also working for a Legacy fund that buys farm land and they are rolling out a new program that seems quite interesting and doable.
I will share some info on it at some point on down the road. I have worked with this person on many multi-million dollar projects over the past ten years and am happy I am the first person he contacted in central Nebraska.
He was involved on this pasture farm a few years ago when I sold it.
As we wind down for the evening I want to wish all a great Friday and weekend.
Until Next Time...Go for a walk...or run...or drive...or bike ride...just get out of the house and enjoy the world!! Mike
