Real Estate Agents..Yes, I'm picking on you again..and picking your brain.

Home Stager with Stage It! Redesign It!

OK, here's the deal...as stated in my last blog, your clients talk to me.  Recently, twice, I've found myself in an uncomfortable situation when a client was really, really pressuring me to talk to their agent for them about doing an Open House and questioning me about the pricing of the home.  First of all, I make it very clear that the price of the home is not my department.  I reassure them that the agent has done all the necessary comps and have taken all things into consideration when deciding on a selling price with the them.  I try to also explain to them that it does not benefit you (the agent) to sell their home for less than possible. The Open House part is a little more tricky.  This is probably because I offer Open House visits to prepare the home for Open Houses.  This may make the client feel like I have a say in the Open House but truly, I do not.  I am finding more Realtors, than not (in my area), do not like to do Open Houses.  What should I convey to my clients to help back up your decision?  I always urge the client to speak to the agent directly and when they insist they have and have the look of desperation on their faces, I'm at a loss.  I need to be the professional I am in front of them and also be the professional I am with you without sounding like I'm making suggestions on how you do your job. I can't be alone here...
