Insider Tips & Tricks:
🎇 If coming to watch the parade, if you are in town the night before, you can set up your chairs that night. Most folks just put zip ties with their names on the chairs. If you can't do this, get to the area where you would like to watch early or it will be challenging to see the parade.
🎇 Bring water, cold towels, umbrellas, and dress for the HOT water. It is HOT HOT HOT in Texas in July.
🎇 Parking is located in several areas that are serviced by the Granbury Trolley. Go to the Visit Granbury website for drop-off and pick-up locations.
🎇 There are many Vendors on the Square that provide you with a variety of good food choices. However, don't forget the local restaurants on and around the Square that are always great places to dine.
🎇 To watch the fireworks, again - GET THEIR EARLY! Bring your snacks, chairs, blankets to sit on, and fire up your music! Some of the best places to see the fireworks are from the Granbury beach and boardwalk, across the lake off of Crawford Avenue. Mesquite Pit restaurant. Anywhere you can view from a higher vantage point is good too. Just do not stop along Hwy 377 as that can be super dangerous.
🎇 Wear light-colored clothing not only for the heat but also for the nighttime activities. You need to be seen easily after dark for the best safety tips.
Have fun and make your plans now! Stay safe and enjoy your 4th!
