Are you looking for free Fourth of July Silicon Valley fireworks shows on July 4, 2024? Fewer cities provide shows than in the past due to budget cuts and fire fears.
Only a handful of the fifteen Santa Clara County cities offer free or fee fireworks shows this year. Neither San Jose, Cupertino nor Santa Clara are sponsoring their own fireworks shows this year. Gilroy, Milpitas, Morgan Hill, and Mountain View still have shows planned. Gilroy Fourth of July Fireworks. 9:30 p.m. July 4, Gilroy. The city’s annual fireworks show originates at Gilroy High School and can be viewed from nearby neighborhoods and Christmas Hill Park. Free. bit.ly/GilroyFireworks
Holy City—No Fireworks or Festival.
Los Altos—No Fireworks or Festival.
Los Gatos--No Fireworks.
Milpitas Red, White and Boom Fireworks at about 9:15 p.m. on the Milpitas Sports Center’s football field, 1325 E. Calaveras. $3 per person. Pool party 1 pm to 4 pm (or until pool capacity reached); Concert ~ 7 pm; Fireworks ~9:15 pm.
Morgan Hill Freedom Fest Fireworks: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. July 4, 16500 Condit Road, Morgan Hill. A Morgan Hill tradition dating back to 1876, this annual Fourth of July festival will feature a Patriotic Sing, a family street dance, a freedom run, a parade and a spectacular fireworks display. Mount Hamilton—No Fireworks or Festival.
Mountain View Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular at Shoreline Amphitheatre: starting at 4 p.m. July 4, 1 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View. Celebrate the Fourth of July at Shoreline Amphitheatre with family-friendly games and activities, a concert by the San Francisco Symphony and a spectacular fireworks display. Palo Alto—No Fireworks or Festival.
Redwood Estates—No Fireworks or Festival.
San Jose—No Fireworks.
Rose, White and Blue Parade in Rose Garden down the Alameda at 10 am.
Santa Clara-No City Fireworks. Instead, the public may park at Mission College to picnic and enjoy watching the fireworks from nearby Great America at about 9:40pm City Fireworks and Festival with free music and food for sale. Free.
Santa Clara Great America Fireworks Show-Free with Park Admission. It is possible to park in the Great America parking lot and enjoy the fireworks without entering Great America, the fee is $30. Great America Gold Annual Passholders enjoy free parking.
Saratoga—No Fireworks. Historic Festival at Kevin Moran Park with period costumes and events, 9:30 am to 11 am. Free.
Sunnyvale—No Fireworks or Festival.
Woodside—No Fireworks.
It’s especially important during this extreme drought that people obey the law and refrain from setting off any individual fireworks of any kind in Santa Clara County. Only Gilroy, allows the sale of “safe and sane fireworks”, and said fireworks must only be used in Gilroy. Possession of any fireworks outside of Gilroy carries steep fines.
