I stopped at one of the few authorized fireworks take a look at what they sell for fireworks. Well, tiny tray now starts at $69.99, Assortment package starts from $229.99 all the way to $799.99. This all before taxes and gratuity.

We used to head to San Francisco China town and people all came out back alley with fireworks tucked inside our jacket. Cops look other way. Two shopping bags for $20 dollars each. There was no tax since you buy from private party.

Times have really changed.

That was long ago. This is Gilroy legal booth. The sales lady said the asking price was crazy also. She used to get them in China town SF also. You can probably get them from Oakland, CA. But I am afraid to go to that city. Lawless city.

Hello Sam - even as a child when prices were a lot lower, I wasn't a fan of fireworks. Some thoughts when growing up turn out to be wiser than imagined, others are in need of being blown up. The challenge continues to be in identifying the consequences.

Hi Sam... loved the dog photo. Trust you enjoyed your Fourth. Fireworks are legal to buy in South Carolina (just 5 minutes from me in Charlotte). But as I've never purchased fireworks, I have no clue that they cost.
