Where's Bob Been?

Many of you who read my posts know that I've had a rough time physically over the last 24 months and not to complain but I've had way more then my share of pain. Well just as it seems I'm on the mend I was attached by a pit bull on Tuesday July 2nd while I was riding my bicycle.

What happens when man meets pit bull?

While that may look painful I have to tell you it's been very painful. It's been 6 days and two Dr.'s visits yet it keeps bleeding to the tune of two to three bandage changes a day. The Dr.'s say that dog bites are very hard to treat because they are so deep and that because of the amount of bacteria in a dogs mouth you don't want stitches as they will hold possible infections in.

The purpose of this post is that I want you to know what is really killing me is my lose of presence here in the Rain. I want to be here. I've missed you all even though it's only been a few days. It's not easy being back at work but this is where I blog from so come hell or high water I'm going to do my best to keep on blogging. That being said tomorrow and Wednesday I have days of legal meetings and physical therapy for my shoulder replacement.

Until this incident I had no idea how bad/serious a dog bit can be Joan Cox . On that initial visit the nurses washed and washed the wound. Then I got a tetanus shot and was given antibiotics to take for 10 days. Because it continues to bleed I keep washing it and changing bandages 2 to 3 times a day as well. Thank you Joan Cox for your concern and for your prayers.

Bob - I'm so sorry that happened to you.  Pit Bulls are a very unpredictable breed.  I once listed a home that had 2 of them which belonged to the seller.  I held open the  house, and they both seemed well behaved.  However, a few days later, the dogs were in the front yard with the seller, and they attacked a 5 year old boy on a tricycle.  I would never own one!

Myrl Jeffcoat there are a lot of children in our neighborhood so that is my biggest concern. However the owner of the dog has some issues and the dog is really all he has so I hate to have the dog euthanized as well. The police have even warned me that if I recommend putting the dog down there is a real chance he may hurt me or a family member.

I was so sorry to read your post and indeed you were on my list to call to check on where have you been.... now we know... on a side note why was the dog off leash and where were the owners? Inquiring minds want to know, hope you are feeling better now, Endre

The owner has psychopathic issues and I feel for him Endre Barath, Jr. although he has caused many people pain in various ways. He was very near the dog but it was unleashed and just bolted for me with no warning. He called it off me as fast as he could but the dog locked in. He smacked the dog with a broom handle he was using but I don't remember if it was before or after the dog had released it's grip or not. I still don't know how to handle this situation. He plead guilty in court which is unusual for him but sentencing will be next week. I may push for muzzling the dog but if he ignored the leash law will it do any good???

Ouch, I am so sorry that happened to you.  I don't like seeing dogs that are not on a leash.

I don't either Brian England . There is a leash law here in Minot but I see a lot of unleashed dog out there.

Holy 💩💩💩💩 Bob "RealMan" Timm

I am so sorry this happened to you.  Good Lord, prayers for healing and restoration.

I have so many questions much the same as Endre Barath, Jr.

While I am an animal advocate and supporter, what happened to you is among the many reasons Pit Bulls get a bad name.  They are trained to be vicious. Otherwise, they are so loving.

This is what I've been hearing Kathleen Daniels, Probate & Trust Specialist and I believe Minot has a ban on pit bull dogs as well as a leash law. If you read my reply to Endre Barath, Jr. you will see I answered several questions.
