Hi All..
29 days ago on the day after my Birthday, Kathy Streib sent me a phone text message at about 9:30pm regarding my blogging and said...and I quote:
"Hey - wake up!! Where's your post today??"
Then on July 1st she chimed in on another blog after I had completed my personal challenge of 30 blogs in 30 days.
Thank you Kathy for staying on me as a couple of blogs came in late in the evening and only because you nudged me. Even during a hurricane you stayed on me!
Not sure how long this streak will last but one thing is for sure...today it is still going.
But here is the Big News:
Because of the number of blogs over the last 45 days...and the fantastic number of comments...I have reached a Goal that I have not mentioned to anyone.
When I hit the send button for this blog...
I will slide into # 1 in Nebraska on Active Rain.
This has been a personal goal for a couple of years and the large amount of blogging points and YOUR comment points over the past few months has made a huge gain in my total points.
Now I realize my point total is a
pittance compared to about 314 other AR members...but sliding into #1 in Nebraska does feel good.
I have heard from many AR members over the years that points do not matter...and I will finally say this. Heck Yes they Matter!
The photo to the right is from before this blog was sent. After I hit the button...that 2 above my icon will change to 1.
I am now #1 in my state of Nebraska and I did it by making real blogs...and real comments.
I am proud of that and am proud of how many of you have said you enjoy my blogs and are encouraging me to leave comments on their blogs...I am talking about you Brian England LOL!
SO let's quit stalling...take over the #1 position and see if I can hold onto the position for as long as the current guys who for now are inactive.
Hey Kathy...I am going to keep on going on!!
