The title of this post reminds me of a Little Feat song from the "Let it Roll" album. That song is called "Hangin on to the Good Times".
Where does the time go? I know it's a trite old saying, but it's often very true. My grandmother was correct when she told me...the older you get, the faster time goes. I think it's been six years since my last post.
I won't bore you with the password difficulties I've had, but those issues were finally resolved this morning.
Let's see what's happened in six years:
- Lucky the Wonder Dog is still around, but not for long. His cancer came back, and he isn't going to be so lucky this time.
- I'm still single. I love it that way.
- After over 14 years I left my former office. I even have a partner. I will introduce Tari in another post. She owns CinaJones Real Estate.
- Seven years ago, I bought a fixer upper. I'm still fixing it up, but now other people are noticing the progress. I'm getting a lot of compliments this year. Maybe what everyone is really trying to say is...it's about time. Ha ha ha.
- I received the Delta County REALTOR® of the Year award for the third time.
- I'm no longer chair of my local board. In fact, I'm not doing leadership of any type. I had a 14-year run with leadership at the state and local level and called it quits last fall.
- I spent a year sleeping on my couch because of a serious leg accident. My left leg won't ever be the same.
I think that's the highlights. I hope to get back into writing about local events and doing my neighborhood market reports. I can't wait to reconnect with my old AR friends.
The picture is where I spend my time while in Delta. The company is called CinaJones Real Estate. It has a history, and has been around a long time, but never with a storefront.
