Hidden Inventory
In some parts of our country, the real estate market is still going strong and not showing any signs of cooling off. Maryland is one of those areas.
I have a listing that is Active/Under Contract, the other day I received a phone call from another agent asking about that listing and what the story was with the status. The buyer for my client’s home has a home to sell, and it is on the market but it hasn’t yet gotten an offer. It occurred to me that we haven’t done this in a while, since before COVID in fact. Our MLS used to list the contingency or the reason the sale was in Active/Under Contract status but it no longer does so agents have to pick up the phone and dial the listing agent and ask the agent.
The real estate market is shifting, we are seeing home sale contingencies again, we haven’t seen those since before COVID.

The market is changing and we are starting to see home sales and other contingencies so don’t wait and pick up the phone and call the listing agent to find out what the contingency is and whether there is an opportunity for your buyer, there.
