I can not say that I've had sleep deprivation due to reading way past my bedtime as I don't ever remember reading before bedtime. Maybe back in my 20's I'd stay up to late but that was because of a pursuit for fun.

A good nights sleep helps bring about the "Go Gettem" attitude.

So we can lick the day.

And what is sleep deprivation?

Sleep deprivation occurs when an individual fails to get the amount of sleep that they need.
Sleep deprivation can occur due to various lifestyle, work and environmental factors. Sleep disorders and other chronic medical conditions can also cause sleep deprivation.
Not enough sleep or disruptions to to sleep can have a major impact on daytime functioning including poor concentration, reduced reaction times and altered mood. In children, sleep deprivation can affect behavior and school performance.
Chronic sleep deprivation can have a negative impact on brain, metabolic (e.g., overweight/obesity, diabetes) and immune health.
Following healthy sleep recommendations, there are things that you can do to improve your sleep. If you need additional support, you should seek help from a GP. The above paragraph is from Better Health Channel.

Hi Bob, I have a kindle so I read all the time at night! Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and read some more! I do feel it sometimes the next day!

Good morning Tracy Lee Parker . I had forgot that at one time I had an e-reader and I do remember reading it in bed but I still think it was always lights out by 11:00 PM.

Good morning, Bob... I've never been a great sleeper since infancy. Fortunately, I don't need many hours, but the 5-6 hours that I do need are important.

Good morning Nina Hollander, Broker (my Love). I've always been a 7 to 8 hours of sleep person BUT because of the healing process I've been going through it's been those 7 to 8 plus a couple of naps. That is slowly turning around now and I am feeling healthier. It's slow but I will say that I feel better today than I have in a long time.

Hello Bob I never use to read must before sleep but like you in my 20's I was having fun late and it did not bother me of lack of sleep.

I am a chronic cat napper.  I sleep for a couple hours, and then I'm up (or at least awake) for an hour or two.  I've been like that for years.

It seems that if I get too much sleep then I wake up tired, not just when I don't get enough sleep, haha.
