What Could Multi-Generational Living Look Like?

Real Estate Broker/Owner with House to Home, Inc. - Denver Real Estate - 720-231-6373 DRE# ER40011786

Denver's home prices have soared, leaving some first-time buyers out in the cold.    Some potential buyers have opted to live at home with the parents until they have stashed away enough for a big enough payment to afford a home.

With healthcare at all-time high prices, putting aging parents into assisted living can be financially impossible.   It is nice to have your parents close so you can personally care for them, or have home care come in and assist.

Both of these scenarios are happening, and many families have come to a conclusion, living together just makes sense for the entire family!

I have the perfect home - 6711 S. Catawba Way, Aurora, CO  80016

It has a Casita (fully equipped with a bedroom, kitchenette, living room and bathroom with hook-ups for a stackable washer/dryer) for the parents who cannot do stairs!   OR, you could rent this out as a one-bedroom apartment to supplement your house payment!   OR, you could use it for guests that come often, and they can come and go as they please, as there is a separate entrance on the front porch!

There is a beautiful primary bedroom with a spa-like en-suite and walk-in closet that has already been remodeled with an organizer.   There is also access from the primary room to the deck for those dips in the hot tub under the stars!

There is still another guest room on the main, but two more guest rooms in the basements.   Needing more than one office?    This could be the answer!   OR, when the entire family comes and visits, there are plenty of rooms for the kids and grandkids.   Even the flex room could be utilized as a bedroom for those occasional visits, it is spacious!

You can entertain with the wet bar, pool table, and plenty of room for poker tables, Foosball or air hockey tables!

If you do outdoor entertaining, there is a covered trex deck, and also, plenty of room on the lower patio for tables and chairs to gather, and be serenaded by the water feature.   SO calming!    There is a grassy space behind the fence on the west side of the home for pups, or the kids to play.

Located within the acclaimed Cherry Creek School District, easy access to Southlands & Park Meadows for retail therapy, and dining options within minutes.    It is only minutes to Parker Adventist Hospital, and easy access to DTC, DIA and E-470.

Call me if you have questions, or would like a private showing of this beautiful home.

Homes suitable for multi-generations will continue to be popular as family members live longer and the cost of housing is high.

Hello Joan - good luck with your marketing of 6711 South Catawba Way in Aurora Colorado.  The flexibility of the property is certainly a good selling point.

Multi-generational living has a long history in many communities.  It's always interesting to see how such things can be seen as "new again".

Florida is still about retirement in many cases. My area is a bit different because of the two military bases and NASA (lots of huge defense and space contractors). We have many engineers as well as being a great place to retire. The cost of daycare in todays world has made live near (OR WITH) a grandparent a big plus.

I would have thought this home would go so quickly, as nothing like it is on the market nearby.
