Thursday Thoughts But. . .

Brenda J. Andrew RENE, PSA, MRP, SRS - I have been known to collect more than a few rants.  While visiting AR as well as time spent in the real world.  Sometimes, it's good just to be able to share those thoughts in writing even if it remains unpublished and we are the only one who sees it. That's typically my way.  

As for your rant, do what feels right for you.  Thank you for the comment. I appreciate it.  

Sharon Tara - whenever I can slip in a 1960s era television sitcom reference, I'm "game".  Unfortunately, such things often leave many with a huh?-like response.  I am glad you caught it.  

As for any AR hijinks, business as usual seems to exist in many senses of the term. 

Michael Jacobs Gladys Kravitz was a favorite of mine. Bewitched had a lot of great characters....Uncle Arthur another fav.

We are camping and I was flipping through the few tv channels we have available and found a favorite movie of mine....The Bad Seed. Are you familiar with it?

Sharon Tara - was that about a young girl with a blonde pixie-like haircut from the 1960s or so???  

Michael Jacobs Little girl with blonde (white in a black and white movie) braids. She is very well behaved in front of others but has no sense of right or wrong and people who make her unhappy for one reason or another tend to die. 

Sharon Tara - that's her image I'm recalling as i think of the movie.  I'm not sure I've ever seen the entire film - horror is not my favorite genre.  

Michael Jacobs I'm not a fan of horror. Maybe because it is a child and you don't see any real violence....this doesn't feel like a horror movie to me.

Sharon Tara - I know the movie has developed a cult following of sorts since it was originally released.  

Joan Cox - inertia may be more of a factor for the ActiveRain census count versus dismissal or censure of any sorts these days.  I don't know, just guessing.  

Hannah Williams - welcome back.  I hope your vacation time was refreshing, relaxing and that you were able to recharge for the many changes that will happen around you.  

As for life around the AR Water Cooler, sometimes talk of all sorts goes on.

Lynn B. Friedman CRS Atlanta, GA 404-617-6375 - a world where respectful behavior was achieved would be admirable although it may not be necessarily achievable.  Individually, we can do better than before.  That choice is within our power.

As much as I have described the ActiveRainLand environment as a schoolyard at times, referencing it as a courtroom or anything else might be unavoidable.   AR is a snapshot of our bigger world, albeit with its own focus.

Debbie Laity - like any community, there can be things noticed that are not may be subtle but still raise a concern like a cloud that is ready to burst.  In some ways, negativity or however it is described exists in all parts of life.   Anyway. . . 

I can appreciate the message you reference about your tomato plants.  It has long been interesting to me to see how memories and recollections are recalled.  Makes me think of the term "earworm".    I think I sense a nuanced meaning now.   Thank you.  

Patricia Feager, ABR,CRS,GRI,MRP - well, my original thoughts as observed over a longer time may have been eliminated from my draft but remain quite clear to me. 

I am aware time, place as well as many other factors play roles in life.  I "keep" some.  Yes, we can disagree but not be disagreeable.  Thank you for the comment.  

Jerry Newman - timewasters and things of many sorts that can annoy are part of real life let alone any social media site.  And as you say they are best avoided.  I tend to be able to ignore them when those kinds of comments find their way to my posts, but I admit they get me angry when I see them on other members' posts.

Jeff Dowler, CRS - opportunities to roam about ActiveRainLand offers abundant opportunities to spot words of wisdom from this membership.  Disagreeing is a part of life but being disagreeable should be avoided.  I continue to work on that.  

Wanda Kubat-Nerdin - Wanda Can! - I try to keep my snarkiness under control but admit it can get away from me at times.  I give myself a pass when that happens but understand it's a lesson in the making.  And an ongoing study plan.
