Do You Work From The Company Office?

As I was driving back from my last appointment, I remembered the need to tie up a couple of Friday loose ends. Traffic was, well "Destin near the end of tourist season" bad. It would have been much easer to head home, yet I went to the office.

I'm one of a handful of agents at our location who works from the office. Guess I'm old school, but I like the separation. And of course I understand agents can work just as effectively from their house. So where do you claim as your workspace???

I work from the office, which is a 2 mile 3 minute drive from home in the country, so never any traffic to worry about.

Hi Doug,

I love my office! It's the primary place I work and enjoy the synergy and people. COVID shut everyone up and many sit in their PJ's all day and claim to be working all day. Not for me. Collaboration is a good thing especially with all the new challenges in following the new processes. Good to interact with live humans and discuss best practices!

I work from home, as fathom Realty is a cloud based brokerage with no bricks and mort work spaces.  For me it is ideal, and the split cannot be beat.

Hello Doug - many workplaces and the world itself continue to change.   I can understand why there might be a disconnect for some while others are just as productive in their familiar work from home environment.

When active in the industry, I like the synergy of an office but I also enjoyed time without distractions.  Once again, it really depends on circumstances/situations.  It's nice to have options.

No, I don't. I have been working from a dedicated home office for 27 years. I get much more done. I go into the office for meetings and to make copies. That's about enough for me... and when I make copies I try to get done what I need to do on a weekend when there's hardly anyone in the office.

Thank you, Doug, for sharing your perspective on the benefits of an office workspace; I appreciate your insights on the balance between working from home and the value of that separation. Personally, I enjoy the flexibility and focus that comes with working from home.
