This Week…Patience

This week seemed to whiz by. It was one of our first weeks with sunny days (though hot and humid) and no rain!!

Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.
John Quincy Adams

While out, I was amazed at the debris (huge trees) from Beryl still waiting to be hauled away.

Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.
Jean-Jacques Rousseau

We learned, after speaking with someone at the Preserve where we walk, that even those in the county parks etc have to wait their turn for the heavy  equipment needed to remove the huge trees.  Let’s hope the rain stays away so that everyone can do their jobs.

He that can have patience can have what he will.
Benjamin Franklin

And, speaking of Rain and patience, we’ve had to exercise an abundance of that this week.  It’s not the first time, and I suspect that it will not be the last. However the ActiveRain Development team always comes through.

The Rain is a community that is unlike any other. I am forever grateful to the relationships I’ve made. That said, when it goes WONKY, there is still life and work to do.

Beware the fury of a patient man.
John Dryden

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hello Kathy - patience is a continuing exam. Ongoing and increasingly difficult tests prove the path for a passing grade is a difficult course.   Flailing and failing are but two of the detours.  Meanwhile, I keep trying. . .

Good morning, Kathy... by nature I'm not the most patient person. I've long said that if real estate taught me anything, it was a level of patience I never knew I was capable of exercising!

Nina Hollander, Broker I am usually a very patient person. I tend to lose it when dealing with certain people.

Kathy Streib hi Kathy... well, since I'm not a very patient person, I've probably got a head start on you when it comes to those "certain" people. :)

Patience is certainly not one of my strongest attributes, but I actually try to observe it even though at times it doesn't seem that way, haha.

Good morning Kathy,

I had a lot of things going on this week so if AR was going to be wonky I let it be and tried as often as I could to get on. It does seem to be working better today so all is well for now!

Patience is something I appear to have less of as I get older.

Heat wave here...high humidity. Not loving it.

Driving to the store, a short 1 mile journey i noticed a lot of damage and branches and other debris waiting to be cleared up. Nothing like your Beryl damage, but for one storm it seems a lot.

Kathy I have lived through several frustrating weeks in the past with the AR timing out issues.  Each time does not get any easier, but at least we did not have to look at that angry little mutt.

Kathy Streib  I hate humidity, when we moved from the East Coast, I was thrilled how nice it was here.... now days  humidity has been higher than what I have been accustomed to in the past 20+ years... so with that said this is minor compared to all the drama we have been having with the 504 time outs... I have iron patience just no tolerance for incompetence... How about a post from the powers to be we have issues and are working on it like my friend George Souto  would say:)Endre

Ah, patience.  I've needed more than my share of that lately.  Especially with the continual days over 100+ degrees here in Sacramento.

Hi Kathy:

All the cleanup from Beryl no doubt is taking its toll on Houston and local community services, and taking time. That's quite a video.

Business and real life both demand patience at times. That certainly included AR recently.

Loved the photos and the quotes, especially the one by Adams!

Very true indeed! I remember living down there through Ike and it seemed like forever for a lot of the nasty, moldy carpet sitting in heaps on the streets was to be finally removed.
