A Sort of Seinfeldian Shift. . .
And, Of Course, A Drum Roll
Earlier this month, I finished the book, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee by Jerry Seinfeld. While I understand everyone isn't, I am a longtime fan of Mr. Seinfeld. Published in 2022, the book may be ideal for those who also appreciate him, his previous or more recent show (the same as this book title). You will likely recognize many of the subjects who are interviewed.
Even those who respect the uniqueness of automobile design may find the book appealing. The combination of how these related yet rather random things come together is fascinating to me. Miaybe the visual aspect will encourage an exploration of additional reading. Talk about a potentially powerful shift.
In addition to the interviews, there are lots of photos. The excerpts include personal insights, jokes, some classic one liners and comedy routines that encompass this as well as that. I laughed out loud at many examples but this remembrance from Ricky Gervais stands out for me:
I did this joke once.
I came out of a crowd, and I said,
“I’m eighteen years sober.”
And they gave me a round of applause.
And I went, “the first eighteen years".
Since then, I have been drunk every night of my life.
