AI House Picture Challenge

By
Real Estate Agent with Cummings & Co. Realtors

I stumbled upon the AR Zoom Call AI Challenge, and it seemed like it could be fun.

The challenge: "Make an AI generated photo using whichever tool we wanted. The theme for this week's exercise was to make a photo of a house, any style, with something behind a window." (Thank you, Kat Palmiotti and Kathy Streib for writing about the challenge and sharing your results!)

My prompt was: "Make a picture with a Colonial house with a white picket fence and a cat in the window of the house"

My results - only one cat was in the window - and really, he appeared to be on the flower box outside of the window. Maybe I should have talked about the cat before discussing the white picket fence and flowers.

I find the windows to be off on most of them - and the stairs on the third one are wavy.

AI is definitely interesting, and I need to explore it more. Challenges like this can help!

Nice. A cat  in the house is artifically conjured up through AI. Maybe that is where a cat in the hat is going next as well for books and art work.  How about the Cat on a Branch? We may be putting future Rembrandts and Renoirs out of work. Jeff 😃

Cat on the Branch! I love it! I hope artists keep creating art. Nothing compares to real art!

Marney Kirk looks like you and I had similar experiences to get something looking out a window.  I guess we are going to have to get better on how we phase our requests.

Yes, George, we have to train AI to get better results. It's scary and neat at the same time!

Thank you, Kathy! I am not sure why AI has so much trouble with windows! I am going to put the Zoom call on my calendar. I am waiting to hear back about an appointment Tues afternoon, but if I can be there, I will! Thanks!

Hello Marney - I am enjoying seeing the different interpretations.  I am noticing specificity is important.  Working with that in mind, it tells me artificial intelligence continues to be a work in progress.  Some say, we shall see (and I guess we are seeing that happen around us in an almost stop-motion manner).   Interesting. . .

Hi Michael! Yes, we have to be very specific. I am learning as I go! AI is definitely a work in progress, and using Gemini, there is a disclaimer that information may be wrong.

I'm so glad you participated! It seems to be a bit difficult to get the animal to show up inside the house.Maybe the next challenge will be easier.

Hi Kat! I think AI will get better as more people use it and teach it...some day those animals will show correctly in those windows!

Well done, AI can do some fun stuff, Marney but I too find the flaws in the creations.

I am sure it will get there, but it is not there yet!

Love your creations, Marney and agree, that the programs don't always 'get' what we are trying to describe. I have found that I have to be uber specific and sometimes have to try again and again! Thanks for participating! Hope you'll join us on our weekly calls on Tuesdays.

Thank you, Debe! I am sorry I missed this before. I am going to try to make the Tuesday calls - I haven't been able to yet, but have it penciled in for next week!
