The "A" Stands For Artificial

Hello Michael - the world is a big place.  And it's filled with many different kinds of people.  And there seems to be no shortage of opinions about intelligence (artificial and otherwise) as well as things Zillow-related.   

Even though I am no longer active in the industry, I still have thoughts.  Sometimes I share them and there are other occasions when I listen and watch dung being flung about all sorts of things. 

Well, you know what they say about opinions. . .  Butt, I digress.

I agree about real estate marketing and AI. Photos of a home need to be photos of a home. We need to do the marketing for our business. That's part of the job description!

Good morning, Michael... same here: "Maybe this makes me sound old, I don't care.  Get off my lawn, AI."  And I'm not even worried about sounding old... because in the total scheme of things I am old!

Hmm, you say "All you see from me is all me.  Nothing artificial.", but I read testimony from you earlier this morning where you stated you use artificial sweetener, haha.

Michael, I agree, I've only seen a few so far, but the AI-generated images that I've seen do resemble scenes from a strange sci-fi movie!

As I now know after listening to an "expert" AI is two letters, and they stand for Artificial Intelligence.

Tell us how you really feel? LOL!! AI is here to stay and I want to learn about it so I know what it's used for and why. I won't be using it for my listing photos. I have a wonderful photographer and there is nothing better than his photos showing off one of my listings to their fullest potential. I have good friends who are professional photographers and they are so good at capturing the moment of any event they shoot and their photos are stunning! I don't see AI coming close with prompts to capture the moment....its done with the human eye and heart!

I don't embrace all of AI. Some of it is very concerning.  However, certain aspects of it do interest me.

Hi Michael- I thought I'd commented on this but realized I had in the Q&A. 

Other than my friends, family, certain animals and my Jura coffee maker, I don't embrace much else. Astroturf is artificial and was in the old Astrodome. I bear it no ill feelings.  I have nothing against artificial hearts or other organs for that matter. 

I don't embrace AI but I'm making a point to learn what it is, rather than categorically throw it down the garbage disposal. 

What I'll add is that I would never hold up my AI photo creation as being anything but an AI creation. Were I an agent, I would never consider using an AI generated photo of my listing. 

There is skepticism of AI with good reason But as with most of life's tech creations (and others) the fault lies not in the tool but in the user.

AI is good for some stuff and not for everything. Yet, it seems to be overpowering.
