Batting Averages vs. Real Estate Averages

By
Real Estate Agent with Fathom Realty 8431215

While this analogy does not hold true for every real estate "category",   simply put, you do not need many "wins" or 'hits"   monthly to have a successful (very) financial month.

That said, a hall of fame baseball payer may bat .300 for a long career.  If I listed 30% of mt listing appointments, I would never make it.  Most of us would fail.

Hence, the importance of monthly listing goals.  Slow , steady wins the race.

Hello Michael - statistics can be interesting.  While I might not say they are fun, using them in relation to a sporting event or in game playing is not too far-fetched.

Hi Michael,

You should watch the movie 'Moneyball' if you haven't already seen it.  It's not about homeruns and hitting it out of the ballpark, it's about who can get on base.  That's how they won.  This is based on a true story and relates to real estate.

Fun movie, but let's quantify their success;  no titles.

Hello Michael and Batting Averages are interesting for ball players and for us Real Estate agents, I like to bat 900 and do.

Michael Elliott a hall of fame batting average or the Weather Man's accuracy average would not hold up very well in this industry.  🤣

No. Batting 300 would not suffice. We must, and do, average much higher in our line of business.
