“Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.” -Henry Ford
As many of you know Paddy Deighan MBA JD PhD has been very generous with his time in doing several Zoom presentations on the subject of AI. Those sessions have certainly piqued my curiosity, and I've been enjoying experimenting with it in various ways.
Since my AI radar is up, I saw a Free 5-day AI Challenge offered on Facebook, so I signed up. If you've ever taken a FREE seminar, there is usually quite a bit of time spent on an upsell. These presenters did not do that. Yes, there is an upsell, but it's not pushed. This is literally the best FREE seminar I have ever taken, with huge value. When they offer it again, I will sign up again.
Anyway, on the first day, I found out our homework (which they call funwork) assignment was to create a song on any subject we desired. My initial reaction was disappointment because I have ZERO musical talent. But I thought, "What the heck, I like music. I'll try it anyway."
I decided to do a song about golf. Shocking, right? OMG. It was so easy and fun, and I'm thrilled with the result! Those of you who are my Facebook friends may have seen this on my FB page but I want to share it with those of you who aren't my FB friends.
Here is the result:
Swinging With My Friends
To create the song, I went into ChatGPT and told it what I wanted it to be about and some basic information to be included. Once I clicked "send" it quickly generated the lyrics for the song. Then I copy and pasted the lyrics into Suno.com and told it what kind of music I wanted. It immediately created the song. If I didn't like how it sounded, I could've just kept experimenting. Surprisingly, the song I linked to above was my very FIRST attempt, and I love it.
Songwriting has become my new addiction.
Since that first song, I've created a few more, including one for my brother and sister-in-law's blueberry farm. When I played it for their farm manager, he said, "I want to put that on our website." I said, "That's exactly what I hoped you would say."
In the meantime, though, I'm currently on a whirlwind road trip to meet up with a bunch of AR peeps. Who knows, I might even write a song about it.
Stay tuned...
I have heard it referred to a couple of different things, but in the end, it is homework, haha. I like the photos that have come from it though.

This was definitely FUNwork, Brian England . Nothing like "real" school.
Hello Carol - while I have also heard of artificial intelligence referenced in different ways, it seems you are swinging into the subject with creativity that is right for you.
I wish I was more fluent in golf (or at least its terminology) as well as aspects of AI and a whole lot more but unfortunately that's where my mind goes amiss. Staying on course continues to be challenge. HaHa.

Hey Michael Jacobs
We all get off course sometimes... even when we are ON the course. 😂
Good morning Carol. The creations I am seeing from those who have jumped in have me considering jumping into the pool myself and improving my techie skills. The urge is growing. Thanks for the push. Enjoy your day.

Hi Wayne Martin
There are lots of fun and harmless ways to enjoy AI, and not worry about the evil side.
Good morning Carol,
I love that you created a song and can see why song writing has become a new addiction for you. I definitely want you to create a song from your AR meetups!

Hi Nina Hollander, Broker
Who knew creating songs would become a new passion? Not me!
Carol FREE is always good, and somehow I knew somewhere along the line one of the AI photos would include a golf course. ☺️

Hi Eileen Burns 954.483.3912
The Feature photo was created in NightCafe.
This is so fantastic Carol! I absolutely love the song! The fact that you've said many times that you have zero musical talent just goes to show all of us - it's all in there! I love making music with friends, always have and I too will enjoy taking it on to create a song or two. Happy travels !

Hey Anna "Banana" Kruchten
I guess my musical talent lies in knowing what I want the lyrics to include. Who knew it was that easy?
Who knew is right!
Whoops I almost forgot I was so excited - Featured in BananaTude! Girl you have major TUDE!

Hi Anna "Banana" Kruchten
I was never celebrated for my "tude" until I joined the BananaTudes. 😂
How could that be Carol Williams you have major TUDE girl!
Carol Williams . I think you may have missed your calling. That's a really awesome attempt at your first song. I checked it out. Nice work.
Thanks for the compliment, Debbie Laity. Part of success is knowing your limitations and using the tools that make you look good. Suno did that for me with this song.
Cool stuff, Carol! The song is really catchy as well and speaks loudly of your love for golf.

I sure was happy with the way it turned out, Wanda Kubat-Nerdin - Wanda Can! It's been fun to share.
I agree with that quote, Carol. Even if our decrepit bodies tell us one thing, our mind can tell us another.

Hi Carol- I'm still playing catch-up from our trip. I can't wait to play with this!
Carol, somehow I missed this post, and CUTE, had not heard of creating your own songs now in AI. Hope you had or having fun on the road.
