Mark Your Calendar for the 2024 Olathe Sweet Corn Festival

By
Real Estate Agent with CinaJones Real Estate

This year marks the 34th year of the festival.  Saturday, August 24th is the day to remember and it's all taking place at The Montrose Rotary Ampitheater. The day starts off with a 5K run/walk and ends with live music. You can find out more information here. There are also some really cute pictures that will give you more insight into the event if you haven't gone before.

I'm veteran of many Olathe Sweet Corn Festivals. I remember when they actually took place in Olathe.

For more information be sure to click the link above. I hope to see you there.

Hi Debbie- I love all kinds of festivals but because I love corn on the cob, this festival sounds particularly good.

Hi Debbie,

This sounds like a really fun time! Corn on the cob is a favorite of mine so I'd like this festival if I lived in your area.

That sounds like a really fun event but corn does not play a part in my diet these days, haha.

Nina Hollander, Broker I think someone did a great job of capturing the nature of the event with all of those photos. All the sweet corn you can eat is part of the fun.

Debbie Laity - when I lived in IL I don't think there was ever fresh corn not to found and eaten.

The event sounds like a crowd pleaser! I was at the grocery store the other day here in TX and they had corn on the cob at the counter covered with hot chili peppers. It did not sound appealing to me!

Give me a corn cob with melted butter that tastes so fine there is not a kernel left over!

Patricia Feager, ABR,CRS,GRI,MRP Now I could go for corn with hot chili peppers on it, but plain old butter is the best.

Debbie Laity - Here in Texas, chili peppers are very popular. They put them on everything!

If I find a recipe in the store, I'll send it your way.
