Wordless Wednesdays: Receiving a thoughtful gift is always appreciated...

Wordless Wednesdays: Receiving a thoughtful gift is always appreciated... Diane received a Rolling Stone's T-shirt from one of her attorney bosses.  She was super excited. In her office there are pictures of different Concerts we attended and needless to say we did not go to the last one at SoFi Stadium for various reasons.

Now with that said she is still a fan and as you can see, we have paintings autographed on our walls by the artist.

In case you are wondering who the artist is? It is one of the Stones, Ronnie Wood to be exact. We had the pleasure of meeting him in person in Santa Monica probably about 15 or more years ago. When we bought one of his paintings.

The other one we bought in San Francisco; many are not aware that he is not just a musician but a great artist too. On a side note, which painting did you like better?

Hi Endre,

I like the second painting of Mick.  I had the pleasure of seeing them in Maryland when I was 17, then when I lived in S. Fl when I was about 28 and a few years ago in Charlotte.  Great band

Good morning, Endre... I like the second painting better, but just a bit! I still remember like it was yesterday when the Stones' first hit (I Can't Get No Satisfaction) came out... I was a senior in high school in 1965.

Hello Endre Barath, Jr. While I cannot remember the year my son and I attended one of their concerts, I do remember it was a good time.  My son, not so much. Apparently it was not cool to go to a concert with your mom. (LOL).

Good evening chef Endre,

Love the shirt Diane received! What a meaningful gift! I liked both paintings but if I had to choose I'd go with #2! The Rolling Stones was THE band and remember when their first hit came out!

I like the picture of Mick Jagger.  I was sitting here remembering his relationship with Jerry Hall.  How did that woman leave him and then meander off to Rupert Murdoch???

Wayne Martin  when I was growing up I liked the Beatles over the Stones, thought they were more civilized:) now with that said Diane was a Stone's fanatic and over the decades I learned to like them.... Now the first painting is my favorite too, we were in San Francisco and that is where we got it. Still friends with the Gallery Owner:)Endre

Hi Endre:

Diane must be thrilled - what a great gift for a Stones fan.

While I like both paintings I have a slight preference for the second one. I was not aware that Ronnie Wood was an artist, too! It's always fun to meet an artist when buying their artwork.

Jeff
