Crazy Rock n Roll Talent (You Never Heard Of)

Yesterday I heard "I Wear My Sunglasses At Night" and I wondered who the guitarist was because he sounded awesome. While there on YouTube I found some other talent I had never heard of that I wanted to share. Here are three awesome artists I doubt you are familiar with.

Being, in a different lifetime, I played the drums I am going to introduce you to A-Yeon. I have never, never, never seen such a manic on the drums (or a drummer this pretty). There is a hard rock band backing her up so you may want to keep the volume down BUT watch this woman's hands (if you can see them) and her legs. Regretfully there is a 23 second intro before she goes into action.

Tina S.

We all have our nomination for worlds best guitarist. I have to re-evaluate mine after watching Tina S. This piece is Ludwig van Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. Again, keep in mind there is a band backing her up so you are hearing more than you are seeing AND once again you may want to keep the volume way down, just watch her hands!

This video is 8 years old. Tina splashed on the scene and just as quickly she disappeared. Then she repeated that action later, splash and disappear. Rumor is she enrolled in medical school and has concentrated on her medical career.

Last of all here is the band Broken Peach. This group is composed of 4 model worthy women and 3 very good male musicians. They do normal rock and normal county music UNTIL HALLOWEEN! Then they are anything but normal. This is one of their Halloween hits, Tainted Love (originally made famous by Soft Cell). A very talented group having a lot of fun.

As far as NORMAL goes here is the newest one I can find, I Feel Like A Woman (Shania Twain).

The Broken Peach Halloween one is a hoot! All very good and interesting musicians I've never heard of before. Thanks for sharing!

I thought it was a hoot as well Kat Palmiotti . I see they have done several Halloween ones but I've yet to get to them.

I hope Thomas J. Nelson, REALTOR ® CRS,ABR,PSA,RCS-D, ePRO and Candice A. Donofrio weigh in on this. I know Candice loved/loves punk so I'm guessing she is familiar with Broken Peach. Any other AR Heavy Metal Rockers out there?

Bob "RealMan" Timm I love that you popped two musicians on I'm very familiar with and then a band I never heard of (Peach). I love hearing good new music.

The other day my neighbors were cranking tunes and you'd think I'd yell "hey turn that down!" but instead I yelled "Hey, who is that band?", and it turned out to be these guys and I love this song now thanks to my neighbors.

Well, as you al may or may not know, as a music junkie of about 45 years, a retired DJ of 30 years and a drummer and guitarist through the years and the last 5 religiously, I can share I do deep dive rabbit hole exploration on YouTube quite often. I play drums along with videos, watch concerts, work in the garden to my playlists...it's my #1 passion outside of Family & Friends.

Of course that comment made me remember Gracie Slick (Jefferson Airplane) I'm glad I introduced you to Broken Peach. Now if you are like me you are checking out all their other stuff. I love their Halloween songs.

I am very interested in your reaction Endre Barath, Jr.  as this is played as hard rock and not classical. Tell me if you recognize it at all the way they play the piece.

I had never heard of them before Michael Elliott so I just went and checked them out. I enjoyed the video I watched but one question, why Marah? When you asked about Marah I misread it as Mariah thinking Mariah Carey. I'd guess I'm not the first to be confused about the name.

If you like Rock n Roll I'm sure you will enjoy them. After looking up Marah I then listened to another Halloween song by Broken Peach, "Don't You Want Me" originally by Human League. Another good one but not as good as the one posted above.

You are so right, Bob... I've heard of none of these musicians... then again, I stopped following music pretty much after the disco craze ended in the late 70's.

That's funny Nina Hollander, Broker as I quit listening to music during the years of disco. It took a long time for me to come back. Of course all along I kept listening to my old classical Rock.

Bob "RealMan" Timm oh, disco was so much fun. I was at the Harvard Business School during the disco craze. My suitemates and I would study and work on our cases after dinner and at around 10:30pm or so we'd catch a couple of cabs into Boston from Cambridge and go to a disco and dance like maniacs for an hour and then go back home. One of my favorite memories of my time at HBS.

Bob, haven't heard of these either, except Shania Twain.   When the question came up in the Q & A, many of my fav songs were one hit wonders.

Classic rock is here to stay.  Disco is dead, living in the same grave as rap music.

Thank god Peter Mohylsky, Beach Broker . I'd much rather hear a mediocre band in a bar then disco or rap.
