Elephant sculptures are displayed outdoors at Rough Point Museum and Salve Regina University's McAuley Hall. FREE to view. The sculptures were created by The Coexistence Collective, a community of 200 indigenous artisans in the Nilgiri Hills of South India. They are made from lantana camara, an invasive weed that encroaches on wildlife habitat.
Twenty-six life-size Indian elephant sculptures parade across the back lawn of The Breakers  ( fee to enter)  as part of the first American stop of this traveling exhibition.
*** We parked near Salve Regina McAuley Hall the elephants are behind the hall. You can see them up close. We then walked down Cliff Walk and saw the elephants from a distant at the Breakers. Then we took a Free trolley back to the car.  See Map for route and trolley info.
