SAUZ: Taking down BIG TOMATO, one jar at a time!
One of my long time friends from LA has a son who has started a pasta sauce venture! Kathleen is a proud Mom, and she shared a jar of the SAUZ with me when she came to play a golf event with me last spring.
Most of you know that I am an avid home cook- I have written several cookbooks and I love sharing my recipes and photos of my creations on social media. I'm also half Italian, and usually make my own pasta sauces. I had high hopes, and low expectations for this product. I first sampled the Summer Lemon Marinara flavor with sautéed shrimp. I thought I would probably have to tweak or "doctor" it with seasonings, etc. Turns out-- this SAUZ IS TERRIFIC! No doctoring necessary.
They have created some other intriguing flavors too... Wild Rosemary, Hot Honey, and Creamy Calabrian Vodka sauce. Locally you can find SAUZ in Jensen's market and coming to Whole Foods. You can also order online.
