Friday Flags Mohegan Sun Golf Course Baltic, CT
I had a double treat this week as I was invited to play the Mohegan Sun Golf course in Baltic CT and it included my grandson.
The golf course, itself is a treat and s owned by the Mohegan Sun Nation of Connecticut which is a federally recognized Indian tribe. It is one of 2 Indian owned facilities in the state both of which are recognized as the most profitable casinos in the world, Each gets many a visitor from other casino owners for tips on how to make it work for them as well.
As you get to the bag drop area, the flag poles are prominent,

The smaller flag is the flag of the Mohegan sun nation.
Moving a bit, I was able to also get our flag and it also waved proudly, not to be undone by its partner.
As for the golf, the course was in excellent shape in spite of all the recent rains. The golf game made me pause to recall something I once read that was offered by an Indian as he watched people play the game.
White man beat ground with special sticks and chase little white ball. Make no sense as they hit it away and go chase it again.
I didn't beat the ground as often as some, but still more than I cared to.
