As we’ve said before, now is a great time to start researching where you might be interested in buying an investment property in the Pocono Mountains. Buying a second home is a great way to invest money, as you get to actually enjoy your investment! Looking for a private community full of family-friendly amenities? Look no further than lovely Locust Lake Village.
Located off of Route 940 in the town of Pocono Lake, Locust Lake Village is a private community made up of 1600 properties with a mix of primary and secondary residents. The community boasts four lakes for recreational enjoyment: Pilgrim Lake, East Lake, Locust Lake, and Pines Lake. Pilgrim Lake is the smallest at only 1.62 acres and is designated solely for ice-skating when it is cold enough to freeze over. East Lake is just over five acres, Locust Lake is 16 acres, and Pines Lake is 60 acres, and all three are used widely for fishing and swimming; the lakes have sandy beaches where lake-goers can enjoy picnics and grilling. There are also bocce and basketball courts, four tennis courts, and a baseball field: truly something for every summer outdoors lover. For winter enthusiasts, there are three skiing/snowboarding resorts within 25 minutes: Jack Frost, Big Boulder, and Camelback.
