Prospect CT 39th Car Show and Sock Hop

Nostalgia will reign supreme at the Prospect CT 39th Annual Car Show and Sock Hop, Sunday Aug 25, 2024.

The show started many years ago with just 50 cars. It progressed and got larger when local car clubs assisted and there are well over 1,000 cars expected.

 

 

The first 500 cars through the gates will get a dash plaque.

Judging will take place at app 3 PM and all trophies will be given to the winners before the show ends at 4:00 PM

Local restaurants will have food and beverages for sale, all while the sounds of a DJ music system will filter through the aor.

The DJ will have toes tapping for those with enough age to remember their babysitters singing to them.

Hello Ed - I imagine many enthusiasts as well as those that might not be so keenly aware of what drives the participants, will experience an automatically good time. May the 39th Prospect Connecticut car show and sock hop start off on the right foot and close with style.  Vrooom!

Michael Jacobs   This is a well-attended event by viewers as well as car owners and they are all over the lot from early 1900's to classics front the 60's and 70's.

This entire event was started by our mayor who has been in office for 47 years to date so sock hop is not that strange.

I have never been to a sock hop, I think that was before my time, haha.  I would enjoy looking at all of the nice cars though.
