The ABCs of Life: G

By
Education & Training with Although I'm retired, I love sharing my knowledge and learning from other real estate industry professionals.

Dear Michelle,
We've made it to the 7th letter...G

I hope this letter finds you with a smile on your face as you opened the envelope.

You are young in a world that is exciting, challenging, and (honestly) a little scary. I want to share with you two qualities that I believe are essential for a happy and fulfilling life: Gratitude and being Genuine.

Gratitude is like a magical lens that allows us to see the beauty in every situation, even when things don’t go as planned. It’s about appreciating what you have, the people in your life, and the experiences that shape you. When you practice gratitude, you begin to notice the small blessings that often go unnoticed... the fact that you have a roof over your head and enough food in the pantry.  These moments are the threads that remind us to be content even though we don't have everything we want. Always take a moment to pause and say thank you, whether it’s for something big or small. It will keep your spirit strong.

Being Genuine, on the other hand, is about being true to who you are. It’s easy to get caught up in trying to be what others expect of us, but the real magic happens when you embrace your authentic self. There is no one else in the world like you, and that’s something to celebrate! When you are genuine, you attract people who appreciate you for who you really are, and you build relationships that are based on trust and mutual respect. Remember, when you're with the right people, it’s okay to be vulnerable, to share your thoughts and feelings openly, and to stand by your values. In doing so, you’ll find that life feels more meaningful, and you’ll experience a deeper sense of connection with yourself and others.

Michelle, life isn’t always easy, but with gratitude and a commitment to being genuine, you’ll navigate its ups and downs with happiness and resilience. These qualities will not only bring you joy, but they’ll also inspire those around you to live their lives more fully.

I’m so proud of the person you are becoming, and I can’t wait to see all the wonderful things life has in store for you. Keep shining your light, stay true to yourself, and always remember how loved you are.

With all my love,
Grandmas Carol

Hello Carol - and in keeping with the theme of your post - gee whiz.  Your "g" representation for the abcs of life is another excellent example of how you place special significance on the alphabet.  Sure, I could say it is good, even very good.

Gotta go - I digress. . .   🏃🚘🌊

Living with gratitude has to be one of the most important to make it through this crazy life. There's so much negativity we need to focus on the good in our lives, don't we?

Good morning Carol. Being genuine is something very few can do consistently. Having gratitude for what you have and trying to make it better is also a long road. Your "G" letter is a true winner and a must read. Enjoy your day.

That's true, Wayne Martin
So many people think they want to be like someone else, or they get so caught up in their ambition they forget who they really are. Frankly, I'm too lazy to try to be something I'm not. That's too much work! 😂

Hello Miss Carol Williams G - Gratitude is a BIG one. Gratitude is something I practice daily.  I say practice because it is too easy to "fall" somewhere else.  My heart sings during my meditations as I "feel" the emotional strength of gratitude.

Carol gratitude seems to be something we seem to learn in our mature years.  Hopefully Michelle listens to your very wise words and learns it earlier than later in life.

Hi George Souto
I think we gain perspective as we age, and tend to be more grateful for the little things.
