👨‍💼Move In Ready

In general, most people prefer a home that is ready-to-go. Although there are those who like the fix-up process. I'm in the first group!

Good morning, Brian... this has been true for several years now. I'm always telling my listing clients that buyers will pay a premium... but only if a house is move-in ready. And many won't spend less for a home that isn't turn-key. People will reward a seller's sweat equity.

Good morning Brian. While I would not use the combination of colors shown in the kitchen you featured, the bones are there and acceptable as move in ready. Enjoy your day.

Move-In Ready SELLS Brian. When showing buyers homes, their eyes light up when we show them a fixer-upper and then the same home Renovated!

Brian England I am not sure what you view as move in ready, fully furnished with all new stuff? I was NOT a slumlord but my rentals were older properties in good condition, swept clean, and tenants certainly could move right in with their belonging.

And for those willing to participate in some hard work, there are plenty of opportunities and a deal here of there for properties that are not move in ready.

Each area is different. Most of the buyers here would prefer move in-ready but if the location is superb they will go with an opportunity and find a contractor ASAP!

Brian for me I would be looking for move-in-ready, but some people think they can get a better deal on a house that needs some work.

You are so right, buyers do want a move in ready home. Not every seller can afford to update or is willing to update the home. The ones that make it ready for the buyers will sell faster. One must validate the price.
