RPR is a great resource for Realtors, yet when I mention it to co-workers, they usually don't understand what I'm referring to.
RPR stands for Realtor Property Resource, and is made available to us through the National Association of Realtors. You can use RPR to research properties, neighborhoods, school districts, and other options. You can access maps, past history of a property, the owners names, and much more. There are many uses, but the one I utilize the most is address labels for a neighborhood.
If a buyer is looking for a home in a particular community, I can compile a list of homes in that neighborhood that might be an option for my buyer.
First, log into RPR and select "Research" at the bar across the top of the page. Then enter an address in the search bar, then click on the Interactive Map in the mid right of the screen. Find the pencil on the tab on the right and draw a polygon. You'll end up with a highlighted section for your search.
Be sure to select "Public Record" when performing this search. This step trips me up frequently so it is usually trial and error before I get the results that I want.
You can also search by the date sold, which is helpful if you want to narrow your search to owners who have lived in their home over 5-10 years. Once you have your desired location, select "Mailing Labels". Follow the prompt and make your choice of how you want to print your labels.
You are allowed 2000 address labels per month. I never go over my "free" limit and don't know many of us who would exceed that number for mailouts.
This is my favorite feature of RPR, but this is not a complete tutorial. I hope you have an idea of how RPR to help your business.
