Personally, I found this challenge to be fairly easy, but perhaps that is because I am not adept at actually writing a story. Perhaps what I have written is not even a story? I am not much of a reader so maybe that leads to me not knowing how a good story is written, haha. I watch movies and I guess I can tell whether the story is good or not, but to be honest, I don't really pay too much attention to the story being told as I do whether or not the movie was entertaining.
Or, maybe it's the fact that I like to keep things short and to the point without telling a long story about everything, haha. I know that there are a lot of good storywriters in the Rain, so I am really looking forward to the short stories that come from this challenge. There have been some amazing stories in the past that I have read in the Rain over the years!
I think that another thing that made it fairly easy for me to keep my story about Marigold Village within 53 words is that I wrote a couple of sentences about it and then put those sentences into a word counter. I think that my words totaled 58 words, so I figured that I was close enough that I could just re-word some parts or take some unnecessary words out and it worked well.
I am not sure if my story will be appreciated or not, but I wanted to give it a shot and post an entry for this fun challenge! Hopefully, I have tallied over 300 words for this part of the challenge since I haven't been counting, but the tally at the bottom of this post says 439 words, now 445 words, haha, so perhaps I am good.
