As I have done for years, as I research a topic I come to ActiveRain to share what I have found.
If you have followed my posts over the years you know I do follow politics, while it feels like politics are everywhere and I understand they impact most aspects of your life I have tried to write less about politics as of late as I feel its become more divisive since 2015 than it has been for decades.
We do have free speech for the most part to write about what you want to on AR and I think the majority appreciate that fact.

So what does crypto have to do with politics?
This #StandwithCrypto started as a non profit as an effort to pass pro crypto legislation and so far they have been successful with getting the bill through the house The Financial Innovation and Technology for the 21st Century Act (FIT21).
The Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer "Crypto is here to stay, no matter what, so Congress must get it right," Schumer said. He further went on to say he believed that a bill could be passed out of the Senate by the end of this year.
He has also said "We all believe in the future of crypto," at an online event hosted by Crypto4Harris
"Congress has a responsibility to provide common sense and sound regulation on crypto, and we need your support to make sure that any proposal is bipartisan."
- Schumer
So with comments like this and the wide belief that Republican lawmakers are pro crypto as you can find with the ratings system via StandWithCrypto.com provides resources to view your local districts ratings on crypto legislation and ways to directly contact them via automated systems, why then has the bill not yet been sent to the President?

Politics, the form in which I believe the general public detest (might be why Congress has the lowest approval rating on record currently) it has been reported that the Republican Senate is holding up signing until the election is over to see how much they need to meet in the middle on the creation of the legislation for a pro crypto bill or to not bend at all on any aspects of what they get in the bill.
Rather than our lawmakers securing American investments in blockchain and crypto and working to keep these businesses on shore at a time where investment decisions are being made to go off shore to another country or not we have no legal clarity for venture capital to know what is going on here and if there will be a future for this technology in America as the leader and to have the knowledge that efforts here wont be hampered by legal actions of enforcement from various parts of the government SEC, CFTC, etc.
